DESCRIPTION
The Yamaha TAS1E builds on the first generation of TransAcoustic guitars with a sleek, modern design, fuller volume, and newly optimized effects. Built-in reverb and chorus deliver high-quality sound with no amp, no pedals, and no extra gear — just pick it up and play. That makes the TAS1E an ideal way to discover and enjoy the TransAcoustic experience at home.
The magic happens inside the guitar. Actuators installed on the inner surface of the body respond to the vibration of the strings, transmitting that energy into the body and the surrounding air. The result is rich, immersive reverb and chorus that radiate from within the instrument and blend seamlessly with its pure acoustic tone.
A concert-style body pairs a solid spruce top with mahogany back and sides, a mahogany neck, and walnut fingerboard and bridge. Details like die-cast chrome tuners, black body binding, a blue ripple pattern sound hole inlay, a gloss body finish, and a matte neck finish round out a guitar that stands on its own as a straightforward acoustic.
Controls are kept simple and compact — Reverb, Chorus, and Line Out Volume — so the features are easy to reach without hunting through menus. The small, space-efficient buttons also mean less body wood has to be removed, helping preserve the guitar's natural acoustic voice. Power comes from two AA batteries, and a LINE OUT jack is on hand when you want to connect to an amp or interface.
