DESCRIPTION
The Yamaha TAG1E TransAcoustic brings built-in acoustic effects straight to the performance-minded player. A solid Sitka spruce top paired with mahogany back and sides gives this acoustic-electric a loud, bold voice, and the traditional dreadnought body pushes plenty of air behind every strum. Strummers and fingerpickers alike will appreciate the comfortable mahogany neck and the smooth walnut fingerboard.
What sets the TAG1E apart is Yamaha's TransAcoustic technology. Onboard reverb, delay, and chorus come directly from the guitar itself — no amplifier, PA, or outboard pedals needed. Engage the simple controls and it sounds as though you're playing in a rich, ambient room, which makes practice time far more inspiring and keeps you reaching for the guitar.
The secret is an integrated actuator hidden inside the body. String vibration causes the actuator to move, and those vibrations travel through the guitar body and into the air around it, creating authentic reverb, delay, and chorus acoustically. When it's time for the gig, the System70 + SRT Piezo pickup system delivers those same tones plugged in.
Finished in Sand Burst with a gloss top, satin neck, and die-cast chrome tuners, the TAG1E ships with Elixir Nanoweb 80/20 Bronze Light strings and a softshell case — a true all-in-one acoustic instrument.
