DESCRIPTION
The Vic Firth M114 is the medium model in the Robert van Sice keyboard series, and it's the one most players reach for first. Developed with one of the world's leading marimba artists, it's built to handle the entire range of the instrument without forcing you to swap mallets mid-phrase.
The yarn-wound head in charcoal grey delivers a singing tone that stays full of life from the low end up through the top octaves. A maple handle keeps the feel balanced and familiar, and the 17" length suits concert playing.
If you're building a mallet set for recital work, ensemble playing, or practice, the M114 is a sensible starting point and an easy everyday choice.
