DESCRIPTION

The Selmer Paris C* Alto Saxophone Mouthpiece is a long-established benchmark in classical saxophone performance. Favored by educators, students, and professionals alike, it is renowned for its ability to produce a focused, refined sound with exceptional tonal consistency.

While primarily associated with classical and concert band performance, the C*’s rounded tonal core and controlled response allow it to adapt successfully to a wide range of musical styles, including jazz and contemporary repertoire. This mouthpiece has been previously used but remains in very good overall condition. The manufacturer’s emblem shows natural fading consistent with age, and there is minor surface smudging on the top of the mouthpiece. There are no bite marks, tip damage, or structural issues such as dents or warping. The table is clean and true; one rail exhibits a very small ping located near the midpoint, which does not affect playability.

All other areas of the mouthpiece are free from defects. Given the high cost of a new equivalent, this represents an excellent value for an advancing alto saxophone player.
