The Selmer Bundy II alto saxophone is a classic American-made student horn, built by The Selmer Company in Elkhart, Indiana. This example, serial number 8162XX, dates to approximately 1981–1982 — right in the heart of the era when Bundy instruments were a fixture in school band rooms and private studios across the country.
As the second generation of the Bundy student saxophone, it was designed around what beginning and developing players actually need: a traditional Eb alto layout, durable construction, comfortable playing characteristics, and a relatively uncomplicated mechanism that makes routine maintenance and servicing straightforward.
