DESCRIPTION
The Oldenburg OL99VN12 is a 1/2-size student violin built for young musicians taking their first steps on the instrument. The fractional body size keeps everything within comfortable reach for a child who isn't ready for a full-size violin yet — typically players around 7 to 9 years old with roughly a 20-inch arm length, depending on the individual child's growth.
Construction follows the traditional student violin recipe: a solid spruce top with maple back, sides, and neck. Ebony is used for the fingerboard, pegs, and nut, and the composite tailpiece has integrated fine tuners so beginners (and parents) can make small tuning adjustments without wrestling with the pegs. It comes strung with D'Addario Prelude steel-core strings, a durable and dependable choice for students.
