With its alluring Dark Tobacco Shaded Edgeburst top, aged-in voice and comfortable frame, the Taylor 114ce Special Edition offers an ideal balance of tone and playability at an accessible price for everyday players. It's a Grand Auditorium acoustic-electric built around a solid torrefied spruce top — specially roasted to add warmth and depth alongside the clarity and projection spruce is known for.
A slender Taylor neck profile makes for relaxed, smooth fretting at any skill level, while the Venetian cutaway opens up easy access to the upper register. Inside, Taylor's C-Class bracing enhances the response with more volume and sustain, and improves pitch accuracy for a clean, in-tune sound all the way up the smoked eucalyptus fretboard.
The look is understated and modern: matte finish, black binding, 4mm dot fretboard inlays, an ink 3-ring rosette and a black pickguard, with layered sapele back and sides. Expression System 2 electronics are onboard when you're ready to plug in, and a padded gig bag is included.
