DESCRIPTION

Stringjoy Flyers are built around a simple idea: keep everything players love about flatwounds and fix what they've historically lacked. You still get the silky-smooth feel under your fingers and the warm, rounded voice that made flatwounds a staple, but with added clarity, balance, and note definition that lets them work far outside of traditional jazz territory.

This Balanced Heavy set runs .012 - .016 - .024w - .032 - .042 - .052, a purist-preferred gauge spread tuned to Stringjoy's balanced tension approach. The result is even response from string to string, a set that feels fast and consistent, and a tone that sits neatly in a mix whether you're playing clean, driven, traditional, or completely out there.

Flyers came together through years of obsessive design and meticulous real-world testing, and every set is wound, inspected, and packaged in Nashville by guitar-loving string techs. If you want old-school tone without the usual compromises, these are worth a look.
