DESCRIPTION
Elixir 14502 Acoustic Bass strings are built for players who want their fresh-set tone to stick around. Where most strings die from the inside out as dirt, sweat and gunk collect between the windings, Elixir's coating protects the whole string — not just the outer surface — so your sound stays alive far longer than conventional uncoated sets.
The 80/20 bronze wrap wire (80% copper, 20% zinc) delivers a fresh evolution of tone that's bright without turning shrill, backed by deep lows that keep an acoustic bass sitting right in the mix. Round wound over a steel core, these strings respond cleanly whether you're playing with fingers or digging in hard.
NANOWEB Technology is applied in a featherweight layer developed specifically for bass guitars, so you get a smooth, natural feel under the hand with better grip and noticeably less finger squeak. Optimized tension profiles round it out with balanced flexibility, feel and durability across the set.
This set is a 4-string Acoustic Light, Long Scale gauge: .045, .065, .080, .100.
