DESCRIPTION
The PRS SE Silver Sky is a fresh and accessible take on John Mayer's original USA-made signature model. It delivers the familiar feel and tone players know from the Silver Sky at a price that welcomes a much wider range of guitarists, bringing signature PRS quality to the everyday player.
At its core is a resonant poplar body paired with a bolt-on maple neck and rosewood fingerboard carrying PRS's trademark bird inlays. The 635JM neck profile is slightly rounded with a vintage nod — comfortable for chord work but not too chunky for lead playing — and the 25.5" scale with 8.5" radius strikes a sweet balance between familiarity and finesse.
Three 635JM "S" single-coil pickups cover Mayer's signature tonal balance, from glassy highs to full-bodied lows. A five-way blade switch, master volume and two tone controls make it easy to move between sparkling cleans, crunchy rhythm parts and expressive leads, whether you're playing blues, pop, soul or rock.
Hardware is built for working musicians: a two-point steel tremolo for expressive pitch bends with solid tuning stability, a synthetic bone nut, vintage-style tuners and a double-acting truss rod accessible from the front of the headstock for quick setup adjustments.
