DESCRIPTION

The Ibanez AAD381CE takes the Advanced Acoustic Design approach and applies it to a Grand Dreadnought body — big, full-voiced projection with an Advanced Access cutaway that shaves away the shoulder of the heel so the upper frets stay within easy reach. It's a dreadnought for players who don't want to stop at the 12th fret.

At the heart of the guitar is a solid Thermo-Aged German Spruce top. The thermal aging process helps the top respond more like a well-played vintage instrument right out of the case, while X-M bracing shapes how that top moves. Rosewood and Flamed Acacia three-piece back and sides add visual character alongside the abalone and wooden rosette.

Playability comes from a low oval grip Flamed Maple neck paired with a rosewood fretboard and a rosewood scalloped bridge. An A.I.R.port side sound hole sends a portion of the guitar's voice up toward the player, so you hear more of what your audience hears while you're sitting behind the instrument.

When it's time to plug in, the Ibanez T-Bar pickup feeds the AEQ-TP2 preamp, which includes an onboard tuner for quick adjustments between songs. Gold Die-Cast tuners round out the appointments.
