DESCRIPTION
The Ibanez AAD371E takes the Advanced Acoustic Design concept and builds it around a Grand Dreadnought body, a shape aimed at delivering the projection players expect from a dreadnought with a more comfortable, balanced feel in the hands. A solid German Spruce top does the heavy lifting tonally, supported by Ibanez's X-M bracing pattern.
The 3-piece back and sides pair Flamed Maple with Rosewood, and that flamed maple theme carries into the neck, which uses Ibanez's low oval grip profile for an easy, fast-playing feel. Rosewood is used for both the fretboard and the scalloped bridge, and the soundhole is trimmed with a Mother of Pearl and wooden rosette.
One of the standout details is the A.I.R.port — a side sound port that pushes some of the guitar's output up toward the player, so you hear more of what the audience hears while you're playing. Gold Die-Cast tuners handle tuning stability up top.
When it's time to plug in, the AAD371E is ready. An Ibanez T-Bar pickup feeds the Ibanez AEQ-TP2 preamp, which includes an onboard tuner so you can stay in tune on stage without reaching for an outboard pedal.
