DESCRIPTION
The all-new Streamliner Collection revitalizes the best elements from Gretsch's past and combines them with exciting new features to deliver exceptional performance, sound and style at an incredible value. The G2655T Streamliner Center Block Jr. Double-Cut with Bigsby brings all of that into the modern era in a smaller, easier-to-handle package.
At the heart of the guitar is a smaller arched laminated maple body with an all-new center block design. That block balances lightweight comfort with a full, rich sound and increased presence, delivering improved attack and sustain plus excellent feedback rejection — so you can turn up without fighting your amp.
Powering the G2655T are Gretsch's high-output Broad'Tron BT-3S humbuckers. A combination of Alnico 5 and Alnico 2 magnets gives them stronger mids, tight but full lows and smooth, clear highs that stay musical no matter how hard you push them. The traditional Gretsch control layout — neck and bridge volume controls, master tone, master volume and three-way switching — shapes it all, while a push/pull pot on the master volume adds usable single-coil sounds for another layer of tonal range.
Playability comes courtesy of a set Nato neck with a Soft "C" profile, a 12"-radius laurel fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets, pearloid Neo-Classic thumbnail inlays and a real bone nut.
