The Streamliner Collection revitalizes the best elements from Gretsch's past and combines them with exciting new features to deliver exceptional performance, sound, and style at an incredible value. The G2655 Streamliner Center Block Jr. with V-Stoptail brings that idea into the modern era with powerful sound and style in a smaller package — built for the guitarist who demands more performance, more style and, most importantly, more volume, while retaining everything you expect from a Gretsch.
At the heart of the G2655 is a smaller arched laminated maple body with an all-new center block design under the hood. The center block balances lightweight comfort with a full, rich sound and increased presence, resulting in improved attack and sustain plus excellent feedback rejection — all in a comfortable body that won't weigh you down.
Powering the guitar is the new Broad'Tron BT-3S pickup set. Using a combination of Alnico 5 and Alnico 2 magnets, the BT-3S delivers stronger mids, tight but full lows, and smooth, clear highs that keep a musical presence at any volume.
The traditional Gretsch control layout — neck and bridge volume controls, master tone, master volume and three-way pickup switching — shapes that sonic power, while a push/pull pot on the master volume adds coil-splitting for useful single-coil tones. The soft "C" nato neck, 12"-radius laurel fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets and a real bone nut round out a guitar that plays as easily as it sounds.
