The Streamliner Collection revitalizes the best elements from Gretsch's past and combines them with exciting new features to deliver exceptional performance, sound, and style at an incredible value. The G2622 Streamliner Center Block Double-Cut with V-Stoptail bursts into the modern era with powerful sound and style, designed for the guitarist who demands more than the mundane from an instrument — more performance, more style and, most importantly, more volume — while retaining everything you expect from a Gretsch.
At the heart of the G2622 is a 16" arched laminated maple body with an all-new center block design under the hood. That block balances lightweight comfort with a full, rich sound and increased presence, delivering improved attack and sustain plus excellent feedback rejection in a guitar that won't weigh you down on a long night.
Electronics come by way of the new Broad'Tron BT-3S pickup set. Using a combination of Alnico 5 and Alnico 2 magnets, the BT-3S humbuckers serve up stronger mids, tight but full lows, and smooth clear highs that stay musical no matter how hard you push them.
The traditional Gretsch control layout — neck and bridge pickup volumes, master tone, master volume and three-way switching — gives you complete tone-shaping flexibility. A push/pull pot on the master volume adds coil-splitting for useful single-coil sounds, layering even more versatility onto an already strong sonic arsenal. Radio knobs, an anchored Adjusto-Matic bridge, V-Stop tailpiece, three-ply tortoise pickguard and nickel hardware finish the picture.
