DESCRIPTION
The Streamliner Collection revitalizes the best elements of Gretsch's past and combines them with exciting new features to deliver exceptional performance, sound and style at an incredible value. The G2622 Streamliner Center Block Double-Cut with V-Stoptail brings that idea into the modern era with powerful sound and unmistakable Gretsch style.
At the heart of the G2622 is a double-cutaway 16" arched laminated maple body with an all-new center block design under the hood. The center block is engineered to balance lightweight comfort with a full, rich voice and increased presence, delivering improved attack and sustain plus excellent feedback rejection — all in a guitar that won't weigh you down over a long set.
Electronics come courtesy of the all-new Broad'Tron BT-3S humbucking pickups. Using a combination of Alnico 5 and Alnico 2 magnets, the BT-3S set produces stronger mids, tight but full lows and smooth, clear highs that keep a musical presence at any volume. The traditional Gretsch control layout — neck and bridge volume, master tone, master volume and three-way switching — shapes it all, while a push/pull pot on the master volume adds useful single-coil sounds for another layer of tonal versatility.
Playability is handled by a soft "C" shaped nato neck with a 24.75" scale, a 12"-radius laurel fingerboard, 22 medium jumbo frets, pearloid Neo-Classic thumbnail inlays and a real bone nut. Anchored Adjusto-Matic bridge, Gretsch V-Stoptail, Radio knobs and nickel hardware complete the package.
