DESCRIPTION

The Gretsch Electromatic Baritone Jet takes the essential Gretsch power and fidelity you know and drops it into sub-sonic territory. A chambered mahogany body with a carved maple top pairs with an elongated 29.75" scale-length bolt-on maple neck for excellent resonance and colossal low-end impact, while PureVolt Twin Six humbuckers deliver gut-punching power with remarkable balance and articulation.

The precisely chambered mahogany body and carved maple top are tuned for acoustic balance, giving you strong attack with a rich, present midrange, big lows and shimmering highs. A smooth rounded heel keeps the highest frets within easy reach, and subtle comfort contours on the body and forearm make long sessions feel effortless. The Performance "C" maple neck has just enough mass for precise playability in every position, and maple construction provides the stiffness and stability needed to handle the extra tension of baritone strings.

Tone and feel are backed up by a genuine rosewood fingerboard with 1-ply aged white binding, a 12" radius, 22 medium jumbo frets and Pearloid Neo-Classic thumbnail inlays. A GraphTech NuBone nut optimizes break angle and string pull to the tuning keys, so strings stop sticking and slipping and your tuning stays rock solid through the most aggressive sets.

The electronics package is built for complete tonal control. Each PureVolt Twin Six humbucker carries twelve adjustable pole pieces, with Alnico IV magnets and plain enamel wire in the neck and Alnico V in the bridge, plus vacuum wax-potting to keep noise down. A master volume with treble-bleed circuit maintains clarity as you roll back, individual tone controls handle each pickup, and push/pull switching on both tone pots unlocks snappy, glassy true single-coil voices that combine as a hum-cancelling pair in the middle position.
