DESCRIPTION
The Gibson Les Paul Standard 60s Plain Top returns to the classic design that made the Les Paul relevant, played, and loved — the guitar that has shaped sound across generations and genres. It's a tribute to Gibson's Golden Era of Innovation, now offered in attention-grabbing custom colors that are sure to turn heads.
Under the gloss nitrocellulose lacquer sits a solid, non-weight-relieved mahogany body capped with a plain maple top. The glued-in mahogany neck carries a 60s-style SlimTaper profile with an Indian rosewood fingerboard, acrylic trapezoid inlays, 22 medium jumbo frets, and a Graph Tech nut — a fast, familiar feel for players who like the slimmer side of the Les Paul family.
Tone comes from a pair of 60s Burstbucker humbuckers loaded with Alnico 5 magnets, wired to two volume and two tone controls using audio taper potentiometers and hand-wired Orange Drop capacitors, with a 3-way toggle for pickup selection. Hardware is period-correct throughout: an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece, nickel-plated Grover Rotomatic tuners with Kidney buttons, and gold Top Hat knobs with silver reflectors.
A Gibson hardshell case and accessory kit are included, so the guitar is ready to travel the moment it arrives.
