DESCRIPTION
The Gibson Les Paul Standard 60s Plain Top returns to the classic design that made the Les Paul relevant, played, and loved — the guitar that has shaped sound across generations and genres. It's a tribute to Gibson's Golden Era of Innovation, brought back to life with authentic appointments and, now, attention-grabbing custom colors.
At its core is a solid, non-weight-relieved mahogany body capped with a plain maple top and finished in gloss nitrocellulose lacquer. The mahogany neck is glued in and carved to the slim, fast 60s-style SlimTaper profile, topped with an Indian rosewood fingerboard, acrylic trapezoid inlays, 22 medium jumbo frets, and a 12-inch radius over a 24.75-inch scale.
Electronics are pure vintage-minded Les Paul: a pair of 60s Burstbucker humbuckers loaded with Alnico 5 magnets, hand-wired to audio taper potentiometers and Orange Drop capacitors, with 2 volume and 2 tone controls and a 3-way toggle. Hardware includes an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece, Grover Rotomatic tuners with Kidney buttons, and gold Top Hat knobs with silver reflectors.
A Gibson hardshell case and Gibson Accessory Kit are included, so the guitar is ready to play and ready to travel the day it arrives.
