DESCRIPTION
The Gibson Les Paul Standard 50s Plain Top returns to the classic design that made the Les Paul relevant, played, and loved — the guitar that shaped sound across generations and genres. It pays tribute to Gibson's Golden Era of Innovation and brings that authenticity back to life, now offered in vivid custom colors.
Under the gloss nitrocellulose lacquer is a solid, non-weight-relieved mahogany body with a plain maple top and single-ply binding. The glued-in mahogany neck carries a rounded 50s Vintage profile with a bound Indian rosewood fingerboard, acrylic trapezoid inlays, 22 medium jumbo frets, a 12-inch radius, and a Graph Tech nut on the 24.75-inch scale.
Electronics are pure vintage Les Paul: calibrated Burstbucker 1 in the neck and Burstbucker 2 in the bridge, both loaded with Alnico 2 magnets and wired to audio taper potentiometers and Orange Drop capacitors through two volume, two tone, and a 3-way toggle. Hardware includes the classic-style ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, an aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece, Vintage Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons, and gold Top Hat knobs with dial pointers.
A Gibson hardshell case and Gibson accessory kit complete the package, so it's ready to travel the moment it arrives.
