DESCRIPTION
For years, the Les Paul Studio has been the choice of countless guitarists who appreciate the combination of an Ultra-Modern weight-relieved mahogany body and maple cap paired with simplified cosmetic appointments. The Les Paul Studio Modern takes that formula and refines it, folding in improvements and enhanced features drawn directly from the Les Paul Modern.
Chief among those upgrades is a bound ebony fretboard with a compound 12" to 16" radius for improved action and playability, plus a Modern Contoured Heel that opens up exceptional upper-fret access. Black nickel hardware gives the guitar its understated look, while the mahogany neck's SlimTaper profile keeps things fast and familiar.
Electronics go well beyond the usual Studio setup. The 490R neck and 498T bridge humbuckers run through two push/pull volume controls for coil tapping and two push/pull tone controls that add phase and pure bypass switching, giving you a wide range of voices from one no-nonsense, high-performance tone machine. Formerly known as the Les Paul Modern Studio.
A soft shell case and a Gibson Accessory Kit are included.
