DESCRIPTION
The Hummingbird Studio EC continues Gibson's long history of world-famous square shoulder body designs, now with a cutaway that opens up even more expressive possibilities. The mahogany body and Sitka spruce top are paired with a single cutaway shape that makes the upper frets far easier to reach, so lead lines and higher-register voicings stay within comfortable range.
The utile neck carries a rosewood fingerboard with mother-of-pearl parallelogram inlays, a fast-playing Round SlimTaper profile, and a 16-inch radius that makes string bending easy. TUSQ bridge pins, saddle, and nut work alongside Grover Rotomatic tuning machines to keep tuning solid session after session.
