DESCRIPTION
Known among players as hidden treasures from the early '60s, Fender "brown panel" amplifiers are prized for bridging the gap between the raw sound of the '50s-era tweed-covered amps and the sparkling clean tones of the mid-'60s "black panel" amps — with a distinctive sound all their own.
The '62 Deluxe Amp replicates the sound of those originals with incredibly warm, woody clean tones and mean overdrive when cranked. Add in tube-bias tremolo and you have a true desert-island amplifier.
Two 6V6 output tubes push 20 watts through a custom-designed Celestion 12" speaker, making the '62 Deluxe a natural fit for home recording and smaller gigs — and an ideal amp for Fender aficionados and collectors everywhere.
Period-correct details run throughout: a solid pine cabinet wrapped in Fender '60s brown Nubtex covering, wheat grille cloth, a brown leather handle, brown "Cupcake" knobs and a red LED jewel. A vintage-style brown single-button footswitch and a fitted brown amp cover are included.
