Evans G1 Coated drumheads blend bright tone, long sustain, and solid durability into one of the most versatile tom heads available. Built from a single ply of 10mil film, the G1 produces an open, expressive sound with a wide tuning range that works across a huge variety of musical settings.
The coating is what gives this head its character, adding warmth, focus, and depth to the single-ply voice without choking the sustain. The result is a very balanced attack, long decay, and a bright overall tone with average durability — a great match for pop, gospel, and jazz players.
Like all Evans drumheads, the G1 Coated features Level 360 Technology, which extends the film past the bearing edge contact point for easier tuning, an extended pitch range, and consistently high sound quality.
