DESCRIPTION
The Evans E-Ring for snare drum is a simple, effective way to tame unwanted ring without permanently modifying your drumhead. The external control ring sits loose on the playing surface, floating on the head to absorb overtones and flatten out the drum's sound.
Because the ring isn't adhered to the head, you can drop it on for a session and pull it off just as quickly when you want the drum to open back up. It also makes tuning noticeably easier, since there are fewer stray overtones fighting you as you dial the drum in.
Like all Evans drumheads and accessories, the E-Ring is designed, engineered, and manufactured in the USA at Evans' New York production facility.
