DESCRIPTION
The Epiphone ES-335 is Epiphone's take on one of the most influential electric guitars ever built. Since the Gibson ES-335 first appeared in 1958, the semi-hollow design has set an unmatched standard, and this version puts that classic voice within reach for a lot more players.
The body is built from layered maple — top, back, and sides — paired with a solid maple centerblock. That combination is the heart of the ES-335 sound: the sustain and focus of a solidbody with the warmth, air, and resonance of a hollow instrument. A pair of Alnico Classic PRO humbuckers covers a wide range of vintage tones, from clean and woody to thick and singing, and they're wired to 2 volume and 2 tone controls with CTS potentiometers and a 3-way toggle.
Playability comes courtesy of a glued-in mahogany neck with a Rounded C profile, a laurel fingerboard with a 12-inch radius, 22 medium jumbo frets, and dot inlays. A Graph Tech NuBone nut, LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge, LockTone Stop Bar tailpiece, and Epiphone Deluxe tuners keep tuning stable and string changes quick.
Vintage details round out the package, including the 60s-style Kalamazoo headstock shape with a mother of pearl Epiphone logo and Crown inlay, single-ply cream binding on the top, back, and fretboard, black Top Hat knobs with metal inserts, and a 5-ply black ES-335 shape pickguard. Optional hardshell or EpiLite cases are available.
