DESCRIPTION
The Epiphone ES-335 is Epiphone's take on one of the most recognizable guitars ever built. Since the original Gibson ES-335 arrived in 1958, the semi-hollow design has found a home in blues, jazz, rock, soul, and just about everything in between — and this version puts that classic voice within reach of far more players.
The body is built from layered maple on the top, back, and sides, paired with a solid maple centerblock. That combination is the heart of the ES-335 sound: the sustain and focus of a solidbody with the warmth, air, and resonance of a hollow instrument. A pair of Alnico Classic PRO humbuckers covers a wide range of vintage tones, from clean and woody to thick and driven, with 2 Volume and 2 Tone controls using CTS potentiometers and a 3-way toggle for blending the two.
Playability comes courtesy of a glued-in mahogany neck with a Rounded C profile, a laurel fingerboard with a 12" radius, 22 medium jumbo frets, and dot inlays. A Graph Tech NuBone nut, LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge, LockTone Stop Bar tailpiece, and Epiphone Deluxe tuners keep things stable and easy to restring, while the 60s Kalamazoo headstock with mother of pearl Epiphone logo and Crown inlay finishes the vintage look.
