DESCRIPTION
The PDP Concept Series Black Wax Maple Snare wears a dark, smooth, matte finish created by a hand-applied, wax-based sealer. Rather than hiding the wood, the wax lets the understated beauty of the Maple grain show through — a specialty snare that looks as distinctive as it sounds.
Underneath that finish is a 10-ply European Maple shell that produces a mid-range pitch with full attack and warm tone. In the 6x12 format, it makes a great voice alongside your main snare or as a compact, focused main snare in its own right.
Like all Concept Series snare drums, the Black Wax models are outfitted with PDP's dual-turret lugs plus DW's MAG throw-off and True Pitch tension rods for precise, stable tuning. Fully-chromed snare wires with carbon steel coils and brass end plates and world-class drum heads from Remo mean it's ready to play right out of the box.
