DESCRIPTION
D'Addario was the first to put Phosphor Bronze into acoustic guitar strings back in 1974, and today it's considered the standard in acoustic strings worldwide thanks to its sonic balance and tonal warmth. The EJ24 carries that pioneering formula forward: phosphor bronze wrap wire precision wound over a hexagonal high-carbon steel core, delivering tonal versatility that works across every acoustic style and genre.
What sets this 13-56 True Medium set apart is the gauging. The 3rd, 4th, and 5th strings are a smaller diameter than D'Addario's traditional Medium set, which evens out the tension across the neck and produces a more balanced sound — making it an optimal choice for DADGAD tuning and other open-tuned, fingerstyle, and alternate-tuning work.
Every set is uncoated and round wound, drawn to exacting specifications at D'Addario's New York production facility. Each set also arrives in a recyclable VCI bag with a code you can register to earn Players Circle points.
