DESCRIPTION

D'Addario XL Nickel Wound strings are the standard against which all other electric guitar strings are measured. Revered by players everywhere since 1974, XL Nickel pairs a high carbon steel core with nickel-plated steel wrap wire for a bright, versatile tone that works across a wide range of musical styles.

This EJ21 set is a 12-52 Jazz Light gauge with a wound 3rd/G string. The heavier gauge and wound G deliver more tension, making this set a natural fit for drop tunings as well as traditional jazz setups where a wound third is the expected feel and sound.

Like all D'Addario electric guitar strings, XL Nickel is built around the company's proprietary Hex-Core, which helps ensure perfect intonation, consistent feel from set to set, and reliable durability. Each set ships in a recyclable VCI bag with a code you can register to earn Players Circle points.

XL Nickel strings are made in the USA, drawn to D'Addario's exacting specifications at their New York production facility.
