BOSS Katana amps earned their reputation on sound, feel, onboard effects, and value — and the Katana-Mini packs that same DNA into a small, go-anywhere amp that runs on batteries. Instead of the so-so tone you expect from a mini amp, you get an authentic multi-stage analog gain circuit, a traditional analog EQ, and an onboard tape-style delay in a package you can carry with one hand.

The all-analog input circuitry uses multiple cascaded gain stages — the same approach found in high-end amp designs — to drive three classic sound settings. Brown, derived from a core amp character in the Katana stage models, delivers expressive high-gain tones rich with harmonics for heavy riffs and soaring solos. Crunch covers rock rhythms and bluesy leads, and Clean serves up crisp, sparkling tones with punchy dynamic response. Distortion responds directly to your input volume and picking strength, so the amp feels alive under your hands.

Unlike the limited EQs found on most small amps, the Katana-Mini has a genuine three-band analog tone stack with bass, mid, and treble controls, just like a full-size stage amp. The tape-style delay adds warmth on top, with dedicated time and level knobs that take you from subtle reverb-like ambience to long, warm repeats.
