DESCRIPTION

The Selmer CL300 B♭ Clarinet is a durable, U.S.-made, student-level instrument designed to meet the demands of beginning musicians and school band programs. Known for its full, rich tone and solid mechanical construction, the CL300 provides young players with a dependable and confidence-building introduction to the clarinet.

Constructed with a resilient composite (Resonite-style) body, the CL300 resists cracking, warping, and moisture damage caused by temperature and humidity changes—making it particularly well-suited for classroom use and frequent transport. Its matte finish gives the appearance of a wood clarinet while maintaining the durability of synthetic materials.

Praised by repair technicians and educators alike, the Selmer CL300 has earned a reputation for reliability and tonal quality that often surpasses many modern, low-cost imported student clarinets. When properly serviced, it remains an excellent long-term option for developing players.
Our featured instrument, serial number 22231 dates from the late 1960s to early 1970s and was made in the USA. The Clarinet has some minor feather scratches throughout the body and light metal wear on the key mechanism.

There are no dings, pings or dents on the instrument. Our technician has adjusted the product for General Playing Conditions and is ready for play. This particular Clarinet comes with the original case and has a stock Selmer Mouthpiece. The Selmer Clarinet is a great entry-level instrument or it can be a wonderful choice for marching band.
