DESCRIPTION
The Tama HC63BW is a sturdy, double-braced boom cymbal stand designed to hold your crashes and rides exactly where you want them. At the heart of it is Tama's Roadpro Quick-Set Tilter, a patented toothless mechanism that holds position using the friction of six smooth metal disc plates rather than traditional toothed gears. That means infinitely adjustable angles instead of being locked into preset notches — and a more durable structure than a conventional gear tilter.
Stage space tight? The boom/straight convertible tilter lets you drop the boom arm neatly into the upper tube and run the HC63BW as a straight stand, so one piece of hardware covers both setups. The 15.75" boom arm gives you plenty of reach when you need to get over a rack tom or across the kit.
Tama sweats the small details here too. The reversible cymbal bottom shields the cymbal's center hole from the tilter shaft and threads, and when part of the nylon sleeve wears out you simply flip it over and keep going. Nylon washers in the leg joints make the legs move more smoothly and last longer, while a threaded steel insert nut inside the tripod base adds real strength and makes stripping far less likely than threads cut directly into the die-cast section.
With 25.4mm base section tubing, double-braced legs and a patented noiseless design, the HC63BW is a workhorse stand that holds its setting gig after gig.
