The "Mix/Piezo" jack and discrete volume controls (magnetics and piezo) enable players to blend the 58/15 "S" pickups with the piezo's acoustic tones, or to use both jacks separately for magnetic and piezo sounds.
And with the piezo battery completely bypassed when using the magnetic output jack in isolation, this instrument is an absolute failsafe.
