DESCRIPTION
Tama's Iron Cobra 200 Series Double Bass Drum Pedal is built for drummers who want serious speed and power without giving up control. The HP200PTW pairs an innovative feature set with rugged, road-ready construction so you can push your double bass chops further, whether you're in the practice room or on stage.
At the center of the pedal is Tama's Spring Tight spring tension adjustment system. Its steel string design keeps the footboard returning to its original position without twisting, for the fastest and most responsive kick possible. Combined with the Cobra Coil pedal return, the HP200PTW makes higher speeds feel secure and controlled rather than frantic.
Drive comes from Tama's single-chain Power Glide cam. As the beater reaches the end of its stroke, the cam's offset design ramps up power and acceleration, delivering a punchy kick with a smooth feel from start to finish — so you get volume and speed without muscling the pedal. The fully adjustable beater angle lets you fine-tune your attack, and even micro adjustments produce noticeable tonal changes so you can match the pedal to your playing style.
