DESCRIPTION

The JHS Pedals 3 Series Glitch Delay is a unique delay pedal built around one captivating idea: time-based glitching. Inspired by the legendary Line 6 DL-4 and the ambient, smeared delay textures popularized by Bill Frisell, this pedal delivers evolving, unpredictable repeats while keeping your core delay timing intact.

At its heart, the 3 Series Glitch Delay uses randomized glitch events to manipulate playback speed within the delay circuit’s feedback loop. The result is a delay effect that bends, drags, and warps repeats in real time, creating a living and breathing atmosphere that moves dynamically with your playing without drifting away from your set tempo.

With the Glitch control turned fully counterclockwise, the pedal functions as a warm and musical delay, perfect for classic slapback, ambient layering, and everyday delay sounds. As the control is turned clockwise, the probability of glitch events increases up to 50%, adding increasingly animated and unpredictable textures. An LED flashes in sync with each glitch event, giving visual feedback as the pedal reacts.

The Time control ranges from a tight 20ms slapback to expansive 980ms ambient repeats, while the Repeats control introduces lush modulation and sustain as it increases. An internal limiter keeps the feedback musical and controlled, allowing for endless repeats without runaway oscillation. The Mix toggle offers two fixed delay levels — a subtle 35% blend or a more pronounced 80% mix — making it easy to quickly dial in the right amount of effect for any setup.
