DESCRIPTION

The Buescher Aristocrat trumpet with serial number 6357XX was manufactured circa 1975, during the post-acquisition period following Selmer USA’s purchase of the Buescher Band Instrument Company in 1963. In this “post-buyout” era, the Aristocrat name was applied to student-level instruments, often sharing design and production traits with Selmer’s Bundy line.

While earlier Aristocrat models produced before 1963 were considered intermediate or even professional instruments, the 1970s Aristocrat was positioned primarily for educational use. These trumpets are known for a straightforward, dependable build, suitable for school band programs and beginner players. Typical instruments of this vintage exhibit a gold lacquer finish and include basics such as a 7C mouthpiece and a hard-shell case.

Technical characteristics like bore size, bell dimensions, and valve configuration reflect student-oriented design priorities — emphasizing manageable resistance, consistent tone quality, and reliable mechanical function. Late-era Selmer-branded Aristocrats adhere to practical layouts that help new players develop fundamental technique with confidence.

The instrument featured in this advertisement is serial number 6357XX and was produced in the mid-1970s. It shows signs of past usage with a reshaped bell rim and a slightly tilting lead-pipe. There are a few nicks, scratches and pings on the body of the Trumpet. Our technician has adjusted the instrument for General Playing Conditions and all past repairs have been confirmed to be in operational order.

This Trumpet comes with the original Hard-shell case that has some metal wear on the latches and handle attachments. The Mouthpiece has been cleaned, though there are some minor pings on the rim. All in all, the Buescher Aristocrat Bb Trumpet is a great entry-level instrument or a fantastic choice for any Marching Band member. Act now, don’t delay…
