DESCRIPTION

Experience a premium take on one of the most celebrated overdrive pedals ever made with the BOSS SD-1W Waza Craft Super Overdrive. In Japanese, “Waza” means art and technique, making it a fitting name for BOSS’s premium series of pedals created with carefully selected components, refined circuitry, and meticulous attention to tone and feel.

The SD-1W builds on the unmistakable character of the classic SD-1 Super Overdrive with a newly revised, all-analog discrete circuit. In Standard mode, the pedal delivers the familiar smooth, focused overdrive that made the original a favorite among guitarists, while providing exceptional clarity, consistency, and responsiveness.

Flip the mode switch to Custom and the SD-1W opens up an expanded tonal range with additional gain and a fuller low-end response. The result is a bigger, more powerful sound that works beautifully for pushing an amplifier, adding presence to rhythm parts, or giving solos extra body and sustain.

Simple LEVEL, TONE, and DRIVE controls make it easy to dial in everything from a subtle boost and warm breakup to saturated overdrive. Both modes react naturally to changes in picking attack and guitar volume, allowing expressive players to control their sound directly from their hands.

Crafted in Japan and carrying the distinctive Waza symbol, the BOSS SD-1W combines the character of an iconic overdrive with the refined performance and expanded versatility demanded by modern guitarists.
