DESCRIPTION

Made from Hard Rubber which is molded and Vulcanized, the Meyer 6M Tenor Saxophone Mouthpiece is one of the most recommended and teacher approved mouthpieces currently in production.

It is a very accommodating product allowing all level players to utilize the product in all styles of music; from Jazz and Bebop to the latest in Modern Rock Genres. The 6M variant is often described as a balanced mouthpiece allowing the player to reach very harmonious and rich sound tapestries while being able to exact a brightness unlike similar professional offerings. To better enable a smooth airflow, the Meyer Tenor Saxophone Mouthpiece features a designed resistance often described by experts as having a medium push-back. Known for its powerful tone that is controllable as well as full-body, the Meyer 6M Tenor Mouthpiece is one that can play solo engagements to stadium gigs.

Meyer did not serialize this mouthpiece model, so we are estimated it to be somewhere between ten and fifteen years old. The original owner did not abuse the sound-making device, but there are clear signs of common usage visible on this piece of gear. The baffle is of average wear and the table is smooth. There are minor scratches on the rails near the Tip of the mouthpiece. Teeth mark on the Beak are only slightly apparent as insignificant scratches and not outright digs into the underbelly of the mouthpiece.

The Chamber and Throat are clean and the overall unit is not overtly used with discoloration and an off-putting odor. There is no original box and the brass cap is probably not original to the mouthpiece; though an upgrade all things considered. The previous player used a Trophy made Tenor Saxophone Ligature made of Nickel.

Whether you are a student just beginning to explore the tonal qualities of highly engineered mouthpieces or a professional looking to add a controlled sound; this is the one you don’t want to miss out on.
