DESCRIPTION
Even though George Harrison and Eric Clapton rocked a '64 SG Standard, that model year was a standout for SGs in general! The dependable Maestro Vibrola had replaced the clunky side-pull vibrato. The neck profiles had increased in size, resembling the profile found on 1959 Les Pauls. And the SG’s balance, playability, and look seemed to come into its own. For all those reasons, Epiphone is proud to present the newest Inspired by Gibson Custom family member – the 1964 SG Standard with Maestro Vibrola.
