DESCRIPTION

Arguably, Bobby Dukoff is one of the greatest Saxophone Mouthpiece makers to ever live.

He was a frequent member of many Swing-Band era bands active in the 1940s-50s and 60s. After one of his pride and joy pieces was destroyed in a freak concert incident, Bobby decided to take matters into his own hands and design what would begin his life-long ambition to create the “perfect” players’ mouthpiece. Evoking a warm and controllable sound, the M8 Tenor Saxophone Mouthpiece is an established product that is easy to control and produce a quality sound. This Medium Chamber mouthpiece offers a darker quality sound often described as rounder and depicting a mellow flavor of tonal characteristics.

Featuring a wider projection with a striking tone, professionals across the playing spectrum all agree that this model mouthpiece is a fantastic choice when performing within an ensemble setting. This particular offering from our firm has had one owner and shows moderate use. We belief this mouthpiece dates from about twenty years ago and is not serialized. There are modest feather scratches, but no pings, dings or dents. Visible upon the mouthpiece surface are some water marks from normal usage. They are obvious down the baffle and through the body (chamber) of the product.

The mouthpiece patch is solid and most likely replaced within the last five years. Presented to us with its’ original box, the M8 Tenor Saxophone Mouthpiece also includes the matching metal ligature. Unfortunately, the previous owner lost the original Mouthpiece Cap and this package only includes the box, ligature and mouthpiece.
