DESCRIPTION
A perennial standard in marching bands across the country is the Bundy ABS resin Piccolo with metal Head joint.
Manufactured of sturdy ABS resin and utilizing silver-plate as the base metal for the Head joint and the key-mechanism, this instrument is perfect for roaming the fields in various outdoor venues or performing with a concert band in the local concert hall. The piccolo has trill keys and a split βEβ mechanism for reaching the upper parcels of the instrument with less difficulty of play. Like most modern piccolos, the instrument has plateau keys and reaches down to a sonorous low βD.β
Our featured piccolo is made by Bundy and is serial number 160103XX. As an original Bundy, this instrument most likely was manufactured in the late 1960s or early 1970s. No doubt that it has had several re-pads over the decades and by the looks of the current crop (very clean), most assuredly in the last five years. Though there are the usual feather scratches on the body of the piccolo, the key mechanism and Head joint are clean of any scrapes, pings, dings or other undo wear and tear. This piccolo has been adjusted by our technician for General Playing Conditions. The instrument comes with a Protec Soft Shell Carrying case with cork grease.
Whether youβre just taking your first steps into playing the piccolo or youβre marching in line with the entire band; this piccolo is the perfect choice for your music making pleasure.
