Its compact Grand Concert design pairs a responsive Western Red Cedar top with neo-tropical mahogany back and sides, creating a focused tonal character with exceptional clarity, natural compression and impressive dynamic range.

Cedar reacts quickly to a lighter attack, making it especially appealing to fingerstyle players and musicians who rely on subtle dynamic expression, while mahogany contributes a woody midrange character, strong note separation and natural compression. The latest evolution of Taylor's V-Class architecture adds a scalloped profile for greater warmth, richer open-string resonance and enhanced low-end depth, while retaining the projection, clarity and pitch accuracy that define V-Class instruments.

The innovative long-tenon Action Control neck strengthens the neck-to-body connection for added warmth, resonance and sustain, and it also simplifies setup: you can make precise string-height changes quickly without removing the neck or strings. A satin-finished neo-tropical mahogany neck is paired with a genuine West African ebony fingerboard and bridge for a smooth, fast playing surface, and the Venetian cutaway opens up the upper frets for melodic passages, alternate voicings and expressive lead work.

Taylor's Claria electronics system — developed with input from touring artists and live sound engineers — delivers clear, natural amplified tone with intuitive soundhole-mounted controls. Refined appointments including a green abalone single-ring rosette, Meridian Italian acrylic faux pearl inlays and Taylor nickel tuning machines complement the guitar's understated elegance, and a Taylor Deluxe brown hardshell case is included. Whether you're exploring intricate fingerstyle arrangements, accompanying vocals or recording nuanced acoustic performances, this USA-made acoustic-electric combines refined craftsmanship with a highly expressive musical voice.

SPECIFICATIONS

• String Type: Steel

• Number of Strings: 6

• Left-/Right-handed: Right-handed

• Body Shape: Grand Concert

• Back & Sides Wood: Neo-tropical Mahogany

• Top Wood: Western Red Cedar

• Top Finish: Gloss

• Color: Natural

• Body Bracing: Scalloped V-Class

• Neck Wood: Neo-Tropical Mahogany

• Neck Finish: Satin

• Neck Shape: Standard Carve

• Radius: 15"

• Fingerboard Material: Crelicam Ebony

• Fingerboard Inlay: Italian Acrylic

• Number of Frets: 20

• Scale Length: 24.87"

• Scale Length Type: Standard-scale

• Nut Width: 1.75"

• Nut Material: Black Tusq

• Saddle Material: White Micarta

• Bridge Material: Ebony

• Tuning Machines: Taylor Nickel

• Electronics: Taylor Claria

• Strings: D'Addario XS Coated Phosphor Bronze Light, .012-.054

• Case/Gig Bag: Hardshell Case

*Includes Taylor Deluxe brown hardshell case

Model# 512ce 12-Fret 2026
