The D-X1E Koa is a reimagined version of the DXK2AE. It features a highly figured premium koa pattern HPL in its top, back and sides. The D-14 fret body shape delivers that traditional Martin Dreadnought tone. The D-X1E Koa comes equipped with the brand-new Fishman MX electronics package. All this in an extremely affordable package. Koa Pattern HPLMartin pulled from its premium koa stores to create this highly figured new HPL pattern. This beautiful pattern is not only on its back and sides, but also the guitar's top. Extremely durable HPL in a gorgeous koa look at an extremely affordable price. Dreadnought SoundThe D-X1E Koa is a full-size Dreadnought, the iconic acoustic guitar body shape created in 1916. The 25.4" scale length coupled with a 14-fret neck to body design carries on Martin tradition. This combined with scalloped X bracing delivers pure Dreadnought tone. Fishman MX ElectronicsFishman's MX system comes standard on the D-X1E Koa. The system features volume and tone controls in the upper part of the sound hole. For easy battery installation, the battery compartment is located by the end pin jack on the outside of the guitar.
