The Ibanez AZ Premium AZ47P1QM is a treat for the eyes with its quilted maple top over basswood body. But this double cutaway will impress your ears, too. At the heart is a trio of DiMarzio pickups—Air Norton and True Velvet single coils, plus a high-output Time Zone humbucker.
From warm blues licks to intense shred-heavy metal riffs, this guitar can do it all.
Ibanez heats the roasted maple neck on the AZ47P1QM using its S Tech process, increasing the stability, durability, water resistance and tolerance of temperature changes. A Super All Access neck joint makes it ergonomically easier to play on the guitar's upper registers.
The fingerboard is ebony with a slick, fast feel; jumbo stainless steel frets offer long life and precise intonation.
Time consuming string changes are a thing of the past with Gotoh's MG-T locking machine heads. They pair with a T1502 bridge with a snap-in tremolo arm for smooth articulation. Steel saddles and a die-cast zinc tremolo block add resonance to the body—pluck a string and you'll feel it.
