I originally bought this cabinet because I was so tired of having the WORST sounding system around... Every time I sat in with someone elses band, I couldn't believe how good their rig sounded compaired to mine... So I bought this cabinet only to reproduce the high end in my rig, consisting of a GK800RB, and two Thiel cabinets loaded with a single EV15L each. I thought I'd try bi-amping my 800RB, and using this Hartke 2.5XL for the highs... So when the Hartke cabinet arrived on my door step, I set up my rig, to find that I had brilliant highs, and the rest was mud... I ran the GK800RB full range into the Hartke 2.5XL, and there was the full range bass sound of the Gods that I'd been looking for... I did a couple of gigs with the one Hartke 2.5XL, running the amp at 8ohms, (which still sounded great, this one little cabinet, blowing away my two 15" cabinets) until my second Hartke 2.5XL arrived, (which I had oredered immedeatly)... I've discovered that with todays tecknowlegy, you just don't need to bi-amp anymore to get this kind of sound. I thank Hartke, my band thanks Hartke, our listeners thank Hartke... Now here's a suggestion... Provide covers for these cabinets... In the real world, and on the road, we need them. I was lucky enough to have "Under Cover" out of New York, make me up a nice pair, but you should really have the covers covered... Thank you... Cap'n Fred "Jay Parker's Wayward Rockers"
