Excellent quality for this price. I was planning on purchasing the Yamaha YPG635 for my kids, since they are beginner, no need for extra features. This value is an A+. It sounds good, and the hammer action keys give it a very acoustic piano-like action. MusiciansBuy.com has an excellent service when calling in, they always answer the phone and ships quicker than I expected. Good Job! -Danny CDP100:Casio CDP100 Digital Piano w/ Stand at MusiciansBuy!CATEGORY:Digital pianos|Digital pianos for Home|Casio| RATING:
A beautiful feel and ease to play. - AP500:Casio AP500 Celviano Digital Piano at MusiciansBuy!CATEGORY:Digital pianos|Digital pianos for Home|Casio| RATING:
I did extensive research on the AP500. It was the only Digital that had 30 watts per channel of music power, in this price category, ($1000-$2000) And it does a great job. It has a wonderful sound quality. The weighted keys feel just as asvertised, you think you are setting at a grand piano with your eyes closed. The fit and finish is good. The Color is odd.. I would have prefered a darker color. But to get the larger speakers and output wattage, I am realy pleased with it over all. I am dismayed that this company has removed it from their line up.. -Wells RD700SX:Roland RD700SX Digital Piano at MusiciansBuy!CATEGORY:Digital pianos|Roland Digital Pianos|Stage| RATING:

Owned this keyboard for over three months now. Still in perfect condition. Overall, it was worth the price. The hammer action is great and the response is very good. Although it lacks recording (which the keyboard wasn't really made for), it is great for performance and composition for you can record your own short melodies. -ProProducer RD300GX:Roland RD300GX Digital Piano at MusiciansBuy!CATEGORY:Digital pianos|Portable Digital Pianos|Roland| RATING:
Excellent for stage and recording use. Maybe the best stage piano on the market, if you are not in need of a workstation. I did not want a workstation, not interested in that degree of complication, and maybe overkill. The rd300gx has 200 drum rhythms alone, and many adjustments to key touch etc. that provide an ample degree of sufficiency. The new type of weighted keyboard is a huge improvement over the 300sx. You will need to read the manual, as there are many features onboard. -The Coz P85:Yamaha P85 Digital Piano Black at MusiciansBuy!CATEGORY:Digital pianos|Digital pianos for Home|Yamaha| RATING:
This unit does not have a L mono or 1 4 in. jack for connecting to an amplifier
but can use the headphone out to amp-MB -Mike Ipock PX320:Casio PX320 Digital Piano at MusiciansBuy!CATEGORY:Digital pianos|Digital pianos for Home|Casio| RATING:
Decent, good piano sound (try hooking it up to a good pair of stereo monitor speakers)...rich and full bass sound on lower registers, delicate sounds on higher-registers.
A lot of features for its price (128-note polyphony, registration memory which is handy for gigs live performances, SD card storage, MIDI, LINE-OUT and USB connectivity).
Great value for my money at the sub-$700 price range.
It rivals Yamaha's DGX-620 YPG-625 in terms of functionality, weighted keys and good piano sound. Difference is, the PX-320 has a well-needed, 128-note polyphony and the YPG-625 only has 32-note polyphony.
88-key hammer-action weighted keys of medium-heavy resistance, I find it good for developing finger strength and near-acoustic piano feel.
I use my PX-320 also as MIDI controller both during gigs and in my home studio.
It could have been handy if Casio placed a pitch-bend wheel though and a larger LCD screen, but its feature-packed as it is and these are just my wishlist .
I recommend this product to anyone looking for a sub-$700 DP with good piano sound and a good set of features! -Rouel AP500:Casio AP500 Celviano Digital Piano at MusiciansBuy!CATEGORY:Digital pianos|Digital pianos for Home|Casio| RATING:
I've had the Celviano AP-500 for three months and couldn't be happier. For reference I consider myself an experienced but not particularly gifted pianist: 10 years of classical training followed by 6 as a high school and collegiate accompanist. I was playing some Ravel and Debussy on an upright last weekend for the first time in a long time and doing so crystallized how solid an instrument the AP-500 is.
I looked at console digitals because I don't have space or budget for a grand piano, and never played an upright that I didn't feel was a big compromise. My basic electronic piano criteria were: 88 weighted keys, three attached pedals, living-room quality appearance, NO lighted keys (a perverse gimmick), and sufficiently recent design to include USB connection and SecureDigital interface -- no obsolete SmartMedia or 3.5 floppy devices.
I chose the Celviano because I thought the Grand Piano sounds #1 and 3 were rich and solid without being flowery (listen to the GarageBand pianos for illustrations of flowery -- they become annoying after about a minute). I also liked the look and the color of the cabinet. The harpsichord, organ, some of the guitars, and banjo are also quite good (and OK, some of the drums too). In my opinion, the rest of the 100+ instruments on this or any other keyboard are fun for a few minutes but are actually useless to a pianist. If your music is all about the freaky helicopter and space sounds, you're going to be hooked up to a computer through something like GarageBand and not using the esoterica in the keyboard itself--and you can do that with a much less expensive or more portable keyboard.
The Celviano's tone and touch are excellent, and while it has a ton of features that are probably best suited to studio use, the features I use at home are easy to access--a couple of instruments, the metronome, the recording features, the secure digital card slot. It has much more dynamic range (softer softs-louder louds) than an upright and a smooth, consistent weighted action, and while the speakers are excellent and have especially good power, headphones sounds absolutely fabulous too.
The MusiciansBuy deal included shipping, a nice bench, and a nice set of headphones. The piano was drop-shipped from a Casio warehouse and arrived in a huge coffin-size box. The headphones and bench were sent from MusiciansBuy in Florida and were both as good as I would have purchased had I bought them separately myself. The bench is black, and looks nice enough, but it would be perfect if it matched the -tenders N100:Yamaha N100 Nocturne Grand Digital Piano at MusiciansBuy!CATEGORY:Digital pianos|Digital pianos for Home|Yamaha| RATING:
This Digital Piano is everything you would expect it to be. I have had it for about a month now, and even though I am just learning to play, I can say that it is just what I wanted. I wanted a digital piano that had the look and feel of an acoustic, but not all of the features that a full blown Clavinova has. The sound is great, as is the fit and finish. Service with this dealer, was fast and excellent. Everything arrived as promised within 5 days, in crisp new packaging. Would recommend bot the dealer and the piano strongly. -Andrea |
