S90ES:Yamaha S90ES Synth/digital Piano w/ at MusiciansBuy!CATEGORY:Keyboards|Pro Keyboards |Yamaha| RATING:
I upgraded my studio from a 10 year old Alesis Quadrasynth plus Piano that I thought sounded great in its day and couldn't believe how much things had improved. The S90ES' piano is so real sounding I have a hard time telling the difference between it and concert grand recordings on a CD.
The S90ES's user interface seems a little awkward at first, but is quick to learn. Once over the learning curve, the knobology is intuitive and FAST to use, even while playing. Dialing up a new program or tweaking a sound is very easy thanks to having real buttons for real things -- there's not much time wasted scrolling through menus as with other synths.
Construction is solid, though it is taller than most keyboards and I had to modify my stand to get it down to the right height.
All in all, a great keyboard with incredible sound!
-David dgx505:Yamaha DGX505 88 Key Digital Keyboard (formerly DGX500) with 2 year Extended Warranty at MusiciansBuy!CATEGORY:Keyboards|Portable Keyboards|Yamaha| RATING:
My mom bought this piano 2 years ago as a christmas present. Wow is it a great piano. I love the keyboard sounds from grand piano to bright piano. The rhythms and various instramentations are wonderful. I would like to buy one just for me personally. It's great. -mike M92:Buy QuikLok M92 Kybd Stand at MusiciansBuy!CATEGORY:Keyboards|Stands & Benches |Quiklok Stands|Stands- M series (Mono shape)| RATING:
Absolutely the fastest set-up tear-down time of anything I've ever used. Pretty good stability except for a bit of lateral wiggle, probably reduced by a heavier keyboard (I use a MO8). The width isn't adjustable but that's not a problem unless you're using something narrower than a Nord E261.The instructions that came with the second tier were a little confusing as they showed the attachment screws on the side of the main supports instead of on the bottom where they actually are. That turned out to be a non-issue because the tolerances are so tight that the screws are useless - I had to assemble it with a rubber mallet.Descent stability, lightening fast set-up, and LOTS of room for pedals: all things considered, a pretty good buy - that is, unless you need to disassemble it. -Grumpyoldude PSRS900:Yamaha PSRS900 Portable KeyboardCATEGORY:Keyboards|Portable Keyboards|Yamaha| RATING:

- JUNOD:Roland Juno-D LE Version 64-Voice Synthesizer at MusiciansBuy!CATEGORY:Keyboards|Pro Keyboards |Roland|Keyboards| RATING:
The Roland Juno D has a lot of excellent sounds and effects. I liked it alot until some keys stopped working about 2 years after I bought it, which is a Big problem and totally annoying. It's out of warranty so I'll probably have to spend $100 or more for my local music repair store to fix it. I took it apart as much as I could but still couldn't see what the problem was.
-Dave B YPG235:Yamaha YPG235 76-key Portable GrandCATEGORY:Keyboards|Portable Keyboards|Yamaha| RATING:
The Yamaha YPG 235 76-Key Portable Grand Piano Keyboard is
a great deal for the money!! This keyboard has one feature that is
called Graded Soft Touch action , meaning that you can adjust
the keyboard if you so desire to simulate the weighted action of a
piano. This keyboard also has a great sound, try the Grand Piano
setting and you won't believe you are playing a $300 keyboard.
It has many, many features that you would not consider in this
price range and it has that great Yamaha quality and value. -Doughbro101 WK3700:Casio WK3700 76 Key Keyboard at MusiciansBuy!CATEGORY:Keyboards|Portable Keyboards|Casio| RATING:
I just purchased the Casio WK-3700. I am very pleased with the array of professional sounds on this board! I have a 88 Yamaha Portable Grand, but it is too heavy to transport around to different gigs...so I got this board and so far I am leaning towards playing the Casio because it does everything my big board does and more! It also gives your back a break when you have to transport it to the studio, etc. Casio is doing great things music wise...keep up the good work Casio!! -John Green FANTOMG6:Roland Fantom G6 Live WorkstationCATEGORY:Keyboards|Pro Keyboards |Roland|Keyboards| RATING:
This keyboard really does what it is supposed to do. The over-all work of this keyboard is very professional in its nature, and I have never had an issue of it freezing up or vapor locking. I play a whole lot in churches, and the sound quality, no matter what kind of audio system, sounds nearly crystal clear. There are so many choices to mix voices and edit sounds. This really is a great keyboard! -Jonathan White PSRS900:Yamaha PSRS900 Portable KeyboardCATEGORY:Keyboards|Portable Keyboards|Yamaha| RATING:
I was shopping for a Yamaha PSRS900 and spotted a MusiciansBuy add for a PSRS900 OB (open box) for $200.00 less. I phoned MusiciansBuy and the salesman explained to me that an open box is not refurbished. It is a new instrument that may have been opened for a verity of reasons, but in perfect condition. I ordered it and the instrument was shipped out the same day. When it opened the box it looked as if nothing had ever been removed from it. The keyboard was in perfect new condition. They offer 30 day full refund no questions asked. I will definitely buy again from them in the future.

I bought this keyboard to compliment my Roland RD-700, especially for a quick switch to organ during live performance. I've never 'really' used an organ before, and I thought about buying the XK1, but what does it matter if it has manual or digital drawbars if you've never used them before? Anyway - this thing sounds incredible - not just the organ (which has been a blast to figure out and experiment with), but the Rhodes sound is phenomenal, the clavinet with wah-wah is super funky (Superstition), and the Wurlitzer is clean and accurate. I didn't buy this for the piano sound, but I have tried it as a standalone keyboard for jazz combo gigs, and it works fine, but it's just not a piano. I recommend getting all the pedals for this - an expression pedal (for organ volume and wah-wah), control switch pedal (leslie speed), and sustain - it may be more to hook up and carry, but worth it. I'm very happy with the purchase, and I have turned heads at gigs with not only the sounds, but the RED! -Eric Straubmuller |
