This guitar rocks for the money. I can't believe how good it sounds and the set-up is spot on. I play lots of leads and this guitar compares really well with my Fender strat!! Hard to believe how inexpensive it is. If money is an issue and you want a decent sounding electric, get it. I know the name kinda stinks but hey, who can see that far when your on stage?

i'm joining a metal band, and need a bass to upgrade from my fender squier. i've looked everywhere and i'm 99 sure this is the best deal around! what sold me: neck thru body, pickups, 35 scale, color, price i'm buying this prolly tomorrow. soooo excited!

Best bang-for-the-buck bass you'll find! I have had this bass for a little over a year and recently the tone pot died. I had it replaced with an upgrade and now I get the whole spectrum of tone that these pick-ups where hiding before. This bass was fine before and the tech was very impressed with the quality and craftsmanship, Noted that all parts were high-grade and solder points were flawless. The issue with the tone pot was probably a rare fluke and should not be expected and I wouldn't suggest changing it unless it fails (warranty is voided). I have played bass for over eighteen years and have owned tons of guitars and basses. This one has become my go-to unit. Special note: I searched the entire USA (literally) and bought my bass from MusiciansBuy. Don't bother looking any farther...THIS is the place! Their staff is knowledgable, their delivery is unbelievably quick, the guitar was packed securely and arrived flawless (complete with all extras) and because I coincidently live a few miles from their warehouse, they called to see if I would rather just come pick it up. I did not get the message right away, and by the time I returned the call, the package was here! Top shelf service!!

I'm a guitar player who purchased this bass for home recording and some gigging as a fill in player. I LOVE this bass. This is significant because I'm a die hard Fender guy who loves the P-Bass and Jazz Bass and wouldn't think of being seen with anything else. I got this Bass for the EMG HZ pickups and neck-through construction. I love this Bass for its flexible tone and playability. It makes my small 115 Ampeg amp sound great and is god-like when I record using my SansAmp GT3 DI box. You can dial in warm bluesy tones to bright and punchy tones with no prob. It cannot accurately reproduce the Fender tone I love but it makes up for it with tons of flexibility and great execution of function. If I lost this one I would buy another in a heartbeat! The bridge and tuners are much better than other basses at this price. The fit and finish is very good. I bought mine out of the original box for $550. I am very pleased. The customer service with musiciansbuy was very good as well.

I have been wanting a 6 string bass for a long time. Ever since I learned the bass I have played a 5 string. From the day that I saw this bass I knew this was the one that I wanted to get. However the pictures don't give this bass justice. I had to wait over the weekend to get it. When it finally came I couldn't believe what a treasure I found. Love at first sight. Then I heard it play. I had a dream once. This bass was the one. 10 all around. It can make a sorry amp sound great. All the other free gear was an added bonus. I was very skeptical about purchasing a product from a company I knew little about. Musicians Buy came through though.

I have been a bass player for 30 yrs and this bass is one of the best I have played. I own not onlt this bass but also an 83 Fender deluxe jazz and a 80 Kramer Duke. All these basses I bought new and will have to the day I die. The P 5 string has all the warmth of the jazz and the ease of play of the Kramer. Going to a 5 string was a step for me so I played a lot of them costing from 500. to 5000 and the Fender will out play them all. If 5 strings and wide range of sound is what you want this is the only bass you need.

It is a great bass guitar. Very good sound and amazing reliabiliy. The only minor downfall is that it is long so it is difficult to find a case.

has this been discontinued ive had a mustang for a long time and would dream of playing anything else Anyone know where i can get my habds on a new one?

I'm a newer bassist, started on a borrowed Ibanez, this Arbor was my 1st bass purchase. Extremely suprised at the quality of finish out of box. Upon receipt, I changed the strings to GHS bass boomers, and the set up went smooth. Was expecting a cheap sound because of price, and was blown away at the sound and overall comfort. Would recommend this to anyone, it'll be awhile before I even consider upgrading . We have 4 bass players at church, some with 30+ yrs playin', and all of them raved at its beauty and how well it sounded! (They aren't afraid to tell me the truth either). Overall a great instrument that's well worth the chance.
