Real nice strong rack. fairly easy to use interface for programming and selection. The pad songs are cool once you get use to them. It would be nice if it had a count lead-in before starting the songs. If you are looking for a good sounding top-of-the-line electric kit, this one has a lot of bang for the buck, about half the price of a compairable Roland. Don't get me wrong, Rolands are great! I highly recommend buying from MusiciansBuy, excelent service!! speedy dilivery and best price. -greg DM6DRUM:Alesis DM6Kit Electronic DrumsCATEGORY:Drums & Percussion|Electronic Drums|Alesis| RATING:
After upgrading to the alesis dm6kit, I was pleased with the overall performance. There are two things that could be a bit better. Those are the sensitivity of the snare. You have to hit a little harder than I'm use to for even the smallest snare sound. The dual zone snare is great, but the sensitivity could be better. The other downfall are there should be more untraditional voices as in bells or other concert style sounds. If these things could be upgraded then this kit would deserve a 10 across the board. If a church is looking for a inexpensive digital kit this is one that I would highly recommend, for this is what I use this kit for. -pccorbitt93 E400:Traps Drums E400Kit Portable Electronic Drums at MusiciansBuy!CATEGORY:Drums & Percussion|Electronic Drums|Traps Drums| RATING:
Overall not a bad set. However if you plan on this being your exclusive set (electronics only) just don't. It lacks alot of features that other electronic exclusive sets near this amount have (also you can get a roland set for a 1000). In fact I've had 2 cymbals and the bass drum trigger stop working but that could be because I play aggressive and alot of blast beats. That being said customer service was top notch and they replied to my email ON A WEEKEND and with no hassle agreed to replace the parts. -Brian DM6DRUM:Alesis DM6Kit Electronic DrumsCATEGORY:Drums & Percussion|Electronic Drums|Alesis| RATING:
Finally got this after 2 month delay. I am satsified over all. Not to bad to set up. Appears rugged. The electronic features are nice. It is very functional. I have not connected it to an amped speaker but will. The set appears solid and adequte. Time will tell. After 28 years without a set I caught myself laughing in pleasure to some of the techno kit sounds. So far I like them. -Ed Donovan EDS2001:Buy EnForcer Drum Kit Complete at MusiciansBuy!CATEGORY:Drums & Percussion|Student Drum Sets| RATING:
I bought this drumset back in 2001. Although the cymbal and hi-hat cymbals dented, it was good. I've been a drummer for years and this is a great set to buy if you're strapped for cash and want to buy one. To this day, I have this set. I have replaced all the heads, added cymbals, a double bass pedal, and an extra snare. So far, my set has not disappointed me. Like I said before, if you don't have alot of money, get his set. Then, little by little, add things here and there. You won't regret it. I don't. It gets the job done no matter if I'm playing rock, metal, Mexican music, whatever. IT ROCKS!!!!

Very nice!.. I'm 45 and new to the drum world. Brought the Yamaha DTX explorer the year (2009) and love it. Playing these drums comes natural. The DTX are a great quality set with many made up kits and songs to play along with plus you can make up at least 9 of your own kit (haven't got that far yet). I set up my mp3 to play to. I did not purchase the amplifier yet because I'm using my computer sub and speaker. It works and sounds great! without all the cost. I got the drum for a good price. It was very easy to set up. Looks great and sounds wonderful. No problems with product. -Trey TD4:Roland TD4 Percussion Sounds ModuleCATEGORY:Drums & Percussion|Electronic Drums|Roland| RATING:
My first venture into digi-drums and so far......very impressed! Only took about 15 minutes to set up....sounds are awesome and easy to find....especially the ARENA setting.....wicked! Tuning and muffling are an asset....as is cymbal choking capability......I couldn't imagine them standing up to a world tour or anyting but for rockin' around my basement?....They got it!
Great little kit for the money.....I wouldn't hesitate!! -Peart-wannabe DD502:OSP DD502 EDrum Set at MusiciansBuy!CATEGORY:Drums & Percussion|Electronic Drums|OSP| RATING:
Save your money. The module, while producing fairly decent sounds, does not always respond to multi strike rolls. Basically put, if you want to play anything more intense than a single stroke roll, look for another controller. At first, I though I might have received a defective module. The manufacturer replaced it, but I had the same problems. I also thought it might be because of the trigger I was using. I tried it with several makes, only to be disappointed each time. The manufacturer said it should work with any make trigger. It may look like a Simmons SD5K, but thats about the only thing the two have in common. -ECS TDW20:Roland TDW20 Expansion Board for TD20CATEGORY:Drums & Percussion|Electronic Drums|Roland| RATING:
Been playing V's for 8-9 years now, 40 years total playing drums. TDW 20 is not all its cracked up to be. I'm finding it really hard to see what in this expansion is worth $500. Yeah some new sounds, old ones are just as good. Cant really see any big deal over the supposed hit hat improvements either. You get a whopping 4 new acoustic tom types, and their no better then the existing ones really, if anything the new improved response feel makes the toms harder to repeat the same sound if you dont hit the pad in the exact same place each time. It is nice to have 100 kits on the dial, but thats not really worth $500. I will say some of the new cymbal sounds are better, and finally a copy instrument feature, which was always available in TD10. All in all, guess if you have TD20 you need the upgrade too. -mystery TD3SW:ROLAND TD3SW VCOMPACT DRUMSET; Roland TD 3SW, Roland TD3SW, TD3SW, TD 3SW at MusiciansBuy!CATEGORY:Drums & Percussion|Electronic Drums|Roland| RATING:
For those drummers on a budget, this set is a great value. What toy get here are 32 pre-programmed GREAT sounding sets that you can use from practicing to recording. There is a meter training feature. Bread and butter stuff. The rubber pads have a very good feel, not as good as the heads with the more expensive sets, but again, the cost difference is huge. I love that I can pick up the entire set with one hand, and plug into a P.A. ready to go! Great sounds, great feel, easy to play. A drummer with some chops can sound Fantastic! I love my roland! -JG |
